HK October down 18.2pc to 1.7 million TEU, Singapore off 8.2pc

FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled 1,738 million TEU in October, a fall of 18.2 per cent over the 2,124 million TEU in October of last year.
Singapore`s Maritime and Port Authority reported an 8.2 per cent decrease in container movement in October, having handled 2,314,300 TEU compared to 2,522,000 million TEU in October of last year.
