NVOCC Ecu-Line has appointed Michael J Dye as its regional CEO Asia Pacific to be based in Hong Kong with a regional coverage of the Far East, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
"With Mike coming on board, we expect our aggressive growth plans for the region to get a fresh impetus. Asia Pacific is an important region for us and with strong management in place we would be making further investments to strengthen our market position and to serve our customers better," said Ecu-Line group chairman Shashi Kiran Shetty.
CEOs of Ecu-Line Group Kris De Witte and Marc Stoffelen said Mr Dye`s years of experience and "outstanding performance" as COO at Vanguard Logistics and a member of the top management at OTS Group will be an asset to the company.
"Having known Mike for many years we also know that his vision for the business, work ethic and management style will integrate well with our own," they added in the statement.
The Ecu-Line Group is a specialist in consolidation and groupage services by sea, air and land in especially the LCL maritime freight business. It has over 120 own offices in 58 countries spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia. Ecu-Line was acquired by the Mumbai-based logistics player Allcargo Global Logistics Limited in 2006. Allcargo has multiple business streams in the logistics space including LCL consolidation, Container Freight Stations and Equipment rentals and is listed on the Bombay and National Stock Exchanges
