OOCL rate hikes from September 14, surcharges to come October 1

HONG KONG`s OOCL has announced rate hikes on shipments from Hong Kong, Macau and south China to Japan of US$100 per TEU, US$200 FEU and on 40-foot high cube from September 14.
The carrier will also increase the bunker fuel surcharge on shipments from the US and Canada to Hong Kong, Macau and south China on October as well as raising inland fuel charges for shipments from Canada to Hong Kong, Macau and south China on October 1.
The bunker charge for all dry shipments from the US west coast will be applied as follows: US$367 per TEU and US$459 per FEU/high cube. The bunker charge for all dry shipments from the US east coast will be applied as follows: US$730 per TEU and US$913 per FEU/high cube.
Beginning October 1, the inland fuel surcharge for all dry and reefer shipments from Canada to Hong Kong, Macau and South China will be applied as follows: US$55 per container for truck moves and US$190 per container for rail and intermodal moves.
