SHANGHAI PanAsia Shipping, a near-sea shipping company owned by Coscon, and Sinotrans Container Lines (Sinolines), have entered partnership in a shipping service from China to Japan.

The two parties signed an agreement on January 8, according to which they will cooperate on two shipping routes from north China to Japan`s Kanto/Kansai and from Shanghai to Kanto/Kansai by jointly deploying vessels and swapping slots.

The agreement will enable the carriers to make more effective use of their resources on Sino-Japanese trade lanes while expanding port coverage, increasing frequency and enhancing stability of the service.

The move is also a mark of the beginning of Coscon and Sinotrans` cooperation on the Sino-Japanese container service. The two parties pledge to offer higher quality and more convenient service for customers and contribute their effort to the development of Sino-Japanese trade.
