CMA CGM revamps Asia-west Mediterranean services from early April

MARSEILLES` CMA CGM, the world`s third largest carrier, has announced it will revamp its Asia-west Mediterranean services in partnership with Maersk Line, effective early April.

The New NEX 1 loop, jointly run by CMA CGM and Maersk with eleven 12,500-TEU vessels, will call at Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Yantian, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Guangzhou-Nansha, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Malta, Valencia, Barcelona, Marseilles-Fos, Genoa, Malta, Port Said, Khorfakkan, Port Kelang, Singapore and back to Qingdao.


The New MEX 3, another joint loop operated by the two top carriers, deploys 10 ships of 9,500 TEU on the following rotation Xiamen, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen-Yantian, Guangzhou-Nansha, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Kelang, Beirut, Malta, Valencia, Malaga, Tangiers, Port Said, Port Kelang and Singapore.


These two new strings will replace CMA CGM`s current MEX service as well as the MEX2 (AE11) and the AE20 services operated by Maersk Line on the Asia-west Med trade.
