HONG KONG`s Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has received the Award for Operational Excellence 2011 by Scoular Company, one of the largest exporters of grain and agricultural products in the United States.
Specifically, OOCL received the award for bill of lading issuance, customer service and booking fulfilment, effective e-commerce tools and consignee satisfaction.
The award was presented to OOCL at an Agriculture Transportation Coalition workshop in Minneapolis by Doug Grennan, senior Manager of Scoular Company`s international container trade group.
Said Mr Grennan said, "Based on all the criteria we use to evaluate the performance of the carriers, OOCL`s superior performance in all the areas has out-scored 15 of its competitors. It is an honour to partner with OOCL and to present this award to recognise its effort to understand our business needs."
Said OOCL vice president Edward Zaninelli: "We are honoured and proud to be of service to the Scoular Company. We have been business partners for more than four years and we look forward to many more successful years to come."
