Hong Kong cargo down 2.2pc in June to 2 million TEU, Singapore up 3.7pc

FIGURES from the Hong Kong Marine Department show the port handled two million TEU in June, a decrease of 2.2 per cent against the 2.06 million TEU handled in June of last year.

Singapore`s Maritime and Port Authority reported a 3.7 per cent increase in container movement in June, having handled 2.5 million TEU compared to 2.4 million TEU in June of last year.
