Dalian Port Group throughput surpasses 200 million tonne

DALIAN Port Group`s cargo tonnage in 2009 exceeded the 200-million-tonne level by hitting 202 million tonnes on December 28, Xinhua reported.
The operator of eastern China`s port of Dalian expected its cargo tonnage for the full year of 2009 will reach 203.7 million tonnes, 18.52 million tonnes, or 10 per cent, more than the volume in 2008.
Thanks to the growth of the port group`s throughput, Port of Dalian`s throughput of 2009 is estimated to reach 273 million tonnes, with a third biggest increase in China.
