SOUTH China`s Guangxi Qinzhou Free Trade Port Area has completed construction of its No 1, No 2 berths and stock yard, which also passed an inspection from higher authorities, reports Xinhua.
The CNY300 million (US$43.9 million) project involving two berths, completed on August 15 and have a capacity of 100,000 tonnes and a length of 767 metres. The back up yard was completed on November 27 and has an area of 80,000 square metres.
These new facilities will further enhance Beibu Gulf`s (aka Gulf of Tonkin) port capability and guarantee operations when the port`s phase two project kicks in, the report added.
