Ningbo Daxie port volume up 13.4pc in first 10 months

EAST China`s Ningbo Daxie port recorded a 13.4 per cent increase year on year in cargo throughput to 40.7 million tonnes in the first 10 months, reports Xinhua.
The port handled 23.7 million tonnes of cargo for foreign trades with a 6.3 per cent hike and moved 1.02 million TEU, up 10 per cent over last year`s 10-month period.
The port`s throughput began to slide at the end of last year and rebounded in March, then turned upward trend in the second quarter, hitting a record high in the third quarter, said the report.
