LA`s October volume down 8.3pc, Long Beach slides 24pc

CONTAINER volumes for October in Los Angeles fell 8.3 per cent year on year and declined a whopping 24 per cent at the Port of Long Beach in the final full month of the peak season.
Los Angeles volumes fell 647,000 TEU while Long Beach went down to 452,000 TEU year on year, reported American Shipper. For the year, volume at Los Angeles is down 15.4 per cent to 5.6 million TEU. At Long Beach, year-to-date volume is down 24.5 per cent to 4.2 million TEU.
