JAPANESE ship orders declined for a 10th month in July year on year, falling 63.2 per cent to 950,820 gross tons, according to the Japan Ship Exporters` Association.
Japanese shipbuilders received July orders for 14 export ships - 10 bulkers of 397,920 tons, three tankers of 480,900 gross tons and for one 72,000-ton cargo ship. From January to July, they received 69 orders for export ships totalling 3,294,570 gross tons, down 76.3 per cent year on year.
