AMERICAN kitchen rack makers have been "injured" by Chinese kitchen racks, according to the US International Trade Commission (USITC), reports American Shipper.
Chinese kitchen racks "are subsidised and sold in the United States at less than fair value," the USITC declared after the management and unions of several companies complained.
In response, the US Department of Commerce will issue antidumping duties, on the rack shelves that are used in fridges and ovens.
Filing complaints were Nashville Wire Products of Nashville, SSW Holding Company of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; the United States Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
