AADA bunker surcharge rises to US$200/TEU, $400/FEU on August 20

MEMBER lines of Asia Australia Discussion Agreement (AADA) have announced that the Bunker Surcharge level for shipments from Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to ports in Australia is to be adjusted to US$200 per TEU and $400 per FEU for dry and refrigerated containers from August 20.

The adjustment reflects the recent increase in the price of oil in Hong Kong and South Korea, the AADA said in a statement.

Member AADA lines are ANL Singapore Pte Ltd (ANL), APL Pte Ltd., COSCO, Evergreen Line, Hamburg Sud (HSDG), Hanjin Shipping, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mediterranean Shipping Co. (MSC), Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL), Pacific International Line (Pte) Ltd., Sinotrans Container Lines Co. Ltd., T.S. Line and Yang Ming Line.
