CMA CGM to up Asia-northern Europe rate US$600/TEU from August 1

FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM will levy a US$600 per TEU rate increase on all cargo moving from Asia to northern Europe starting August 1. 

Called a Rate Restoration Programme the increase will apply to Asian ports of Japan, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh and European ports in the UK and from Portugal to Finland and Estonia.
