THE sale of Greenmodal Route to trucker Jacky Perrenot marks latest move by French Shipping giant CMA CGM to shed non-core assets, reports Lloyd`s Loading List.

The French trucker has acquired the road-borne container transport activities of the CMA CGM unit, only months after Greenmodal sold off its warehouse management arm, TCX, to Le Havre-based Seafrigo.

A spokesman for south-east France-based Perrenot confirmed the takeover of Greenmodal Route but the value of the transaction has not been disclosed.

Perrenot is retaining Greenmodal`s entire workforce of 80 as well as acquiring around 60 trucks and depots in Marseilles-Fos, Le Havre, and Lyon. The company will be re-named Perrenot Fos.

The deal includes an exclusive contract for Perrenot to provide road-borne transport services for CMA CGM`s containers in France.
