St Petersburg's box terminal sees Q1 volume up 98.6pc to 146,200 TEU

CONTAINER terminal St Petersburg (CTSP) saw traffic rise 98.6 per cent from January to March compared to the same period a year earlier to 146,200 TEU.

Import container volume rose by 86.4 per cent to 66,900 TEU, including 17,300 TEU of reefer containers.

Export containers surged by 110.3 per cent to 79,200 TEU. In the first quarter loaded export containers accounted for 39 per cent of CTSP`s total freight throughput, reported PortNews.
