Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Port, Kizad biz zone targets Pakistani businessmen

ABU Dhabi Ports and Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT) recently presented integrated offerings of Khalifa Port and its adjoining Kizad industrial zone at an exclusive business event in Abu Dhabi for Pakistani business persons.

The event, entitled "Opportunities in Abu Dhabi - A Maritime Trade, Industrial and Logistics Hub" was hosted in collaboration with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan抯 Embassy and the Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC), the UK抯 Port Technology reported.

Said Kizad CEO Mana Mohammed Saeed Al Mulla: "The synergy of partnerships and collaborations always bring out wonderful results and we look forward to the same from our engagement with the PBPC."

Said Abu Dhabi Terminals CEO Martijn Van De Linde: 揔halifa Port Container Terminal offers the ideal hub location for the Pakistani business community due to our location midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi and integration with Kizad."

Kizad has around 90 national and international investors, and a total of 1,300 hectares of land leased that represents a total investment of more than US$14 billion.

Khalifa port container terminal handled 1.5 million TEU last year, a 32 per cent annual growth, making it the fastest growing port in the Middle East. ADT is currently working on expanding the capacity of the facility to 2.5 million TEU.
