UASC launches weekly service spanning west Med to India via Persian Gulf

THE United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has launched a weekly service connecting the Indian subcontinent with the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea and the Western Mediterranean, reports Rome`s ANSAmed. 

The new route is called the Indian Subcontinent Mediterranean Express Service (IMEX) and replaces the Middle East-India-US East Coast and terminate in Genoa and La Spezia. 

The route begins in Oman`s Khor Fakkan port and calls at Jebel Ali, Port Qasim, Mundra, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva, Jeddah, Port Said East, La Spezia, Genoa, Fos Sur Mer, Barcelona, Valencia, Tanger, Genoa, Malta, Port Said West, Jeddah and back to Khor Fakkan.
