CMA levies US$125/TEU N Europe-Mideast peak season charge March 7

FRENCH container shipping line CMA CGM has announced plans to apply a peak season surcharge (PSS) to dry cargo shipments transported from North Europe to the Middle East.

Starting from March 7, a PSS of US$125 per TEU will be levied on shipments carried on the FAL 23 service. 

The PSS will be expanded to include the FAL 1 and EPIC services from March 14 in "a continued effort to provide a high standard of service," a company statement said.
