Transpacific rates from Asia to US east and west coasts remain flat

THE spot rate for shipping from Shanghai to the US west coast was US$1,321 per FEU as $2,341 to the east coast and unchanged from the week before, according to the Shanghai Containerised Freight Index.

Rates are likely to come down in the coming month because factories in Asia will be closed for about two weeks, notes IHS Media.
