On the northbound leg, the Italian port call will be switched from Genoa to Salerno.
"With this step, Hapag-Lloyd will improve direct port coverage in southern Italy while at the same time maintaining good coverage of northern Italy via other Hapag-Lloyd services and a good train connection," a company statement said.
Starting from December 11, the new port rotation will be: Tilbury, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, Fos, Genoa, Damietta (Suez Passage), Pointe de Galets, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Singapore, Pt. Kelang, Chennai, Colombo, Cochin (Suez Passage), Damietta, Malta, Salerno, returning to Tilbury.
The transit time from northern Europe to Australia will remain unchanged with a round trip taking 30 to 36 days.
