INTTRA: We e-book nearly 25pc of world's box cargo, bookings up 14pc

CARGO bookings and shipping instructions on INTTRA`s marketplace website increased 14 per cent in June, July and August year on year, reported American Shipper.

It shows that ocean shippers increasingly use electronic bookings for container trades during summer, INTTRA said.

INTTRA processed 8.7 million bookings during the three-month period, nearly 25 per cent of global trade is booked through INTTRA`s electronic platform, the company said.

INTTRA said it is one of the biggest global providers of e-commerce solutions to ocean carriers, serving customers in over 2,000 locations with its container e-booking portal.
