Shanghai port volume increases 1.7pc to 3.12 million TEU in July

SHANGHAI, the world`s busiest container port, posted a 1.7 per cent year-on-year increase in container throughput in July to 3.12 million TEU, according to data from Shanghai International Port (Group) Co (SIPG).

Last month抯 volumes also rose by 1.3 per cent compared to 3.08 million TEU posted in June.

In the first seven months of 2015, Shanghai port registered a total throughput of 21.14 million TEU, up four per cent compared to 20.33 million TEU in the same period of 2014.
