FRENCH shipping giant CMA CGM Group has upgraded its fleet calling on north Brazil, French Guyana and the Caribbean, after taking delivery of the 2,100-TEU CMA CGM Marseille, the second vessel of three in the Guywanamax series.

The CMA CGM Group said it had decided to boost the capacity on the loop in accompaniment to the area`s economic development.

The CMA CGM Marseilles will be positioned on the North Europe French Guiana North Brazil (NEFGUI) line. This 42-day rotation joins directly north of Europe, the Caribbean, French Guyana and north Brazil each week.

The vessel rotation will be Algeciras, Rotterdam, Tilbury, Rouen, Le Havre, Philipsburg, Port of Spain, Degrad des Cannes, Belem, Fortaleza, Natal and Algeciras.

By strengthening the capacity of the NEFGUI line - calling ports in North Brazil, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Stint Marteen - the CMA CGM Group adapts its offer to the market`s demands and positions itself as a leader in the area.
