The Port of New York & New Jersey`s maritime facilities were closed. The port of Baltimore enacted maritime condition "Yankee" banning all vessel movements in the port without official approval.
In the flooded New York-New Jersey docks, all deep draft vessels and barges heavier than 500 gross tons remained in port at their moorings with no vessel entering, transiting within the Port of NY/NJ without the permission of the Captain of the Port.
