Maersk raises rates from US$150/TEU up on various Asia services Sept 1

DANISH giant Maersk is to implement general rate increases across all its Asia services in order to offer a broad range of services and maintain high reliability, said the carrier.


Effective September 1, the world`s largest carrier will increase the rates for shipments from Far East to the India subcontinent, including ports in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, by US$250 per TEU and $500 per FEU.

 
For shipments from east Africa to Far East and the Middle East, rates will increase $200 per TEU and $400 per FEU.
 

And for shipments from North Europe to west and central Asia, the planned rates will be up by $150 per TEU, and $200 per FEU and 45-foot high cube box.


Asia to New Zealand routes will see an increase of $300 per TEU and $600 per FEU
