UNITED Airlines is commencing two new services to connect its hub in Denver to the city of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Denver to Grand Forks, north Dakota.
The once daily Denver-Shreveport service will start from August 28. United Express carrier ExpressJet will operate the flight with a 50-seat Embraer regional jet. Shreveport Regional Airport serves north Louisiana, east Texas and southwest Arkansas.
The twice daily, non-stop service between Denver and Grand Forks International Airport begins on October 3. United Express carrier SkyWest will operate the flights with 50-seat Canadair regional jets.
The carrier will also expand existing summer season flights between Denver and Anchorage, a company statement posted by PRNewswire said. United`s seasonal service between Denver and Anchorage in the state of Alaska launched on May 1 with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, will operate year-round.
These developments follow an earlier announcement that the airline will launch daily, non-stop service between Denver and its hub at Tokyo Narita International Airport, starting in the spring of 2013.
"These new routes cap off a monumental month for Denver, for United and for our customers," said James Starnes, director of Domestic Planning for United.
