MSC ups rate US$600/TEU on Dec 15 for Asia-west coast South America

GENEVA`s Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC), the world`s second largest container carrier, has announced it will increase the rates for US$600 per TEU on Far East to the west coast of South America services from December 15.

The increase follows rate hikes from other carriers, notably the world`s biggest container shipping line Maersk, which raised rates to same level on the same trade lane and the same date.
