MSC ups rates from Far East to North America, Caribbean, Central America

GENEVA`s Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has announced a general rate increase (GRI) for services from Far East and southeast Asia to the US and Puerto Rico from January 1.

Rates will increase US$320 per TEU, $400 per FEU and $450 per 40-foot high cube. Rates from the Far East to the Caribbean, Central America, Colombian ports of Cartagena and Santa Marta, and to Venezuela will increase $560 per TEU, $800 per FEU and 40-foot high cube from December 15.
