MSC to adjust bunker rates with effect from November 3

MEDITERRANEAN Shipping Company (MSC) will adjust its bunker surcharges from Asia to the United States with effect from November 3, not November 1, which we had erroneously reported earlier.

It was also reported that the carrier would issue a bunker surcharge of US$1,065 per 45-foot container to the US east coast and $578 per 45-foot container to the US west coast, while in fact the surcharges are for 40-foot high cube containers.


We apologise for the error and regret any inconvenience it may have caused.


The bunker surcharges per TEU and per FEU remain the same as was earlier reported at: $757 per TEU and $947 per TEU to the US east coast and $411 per TEU and $514 per FEU to the US west coast.
