Cosco hikes Far East-Persian Gulf rate US$200/TEU, adds BAF

CHINA`s largest carrier Cosco Container Lines recently announced it will raise the rates from the Far East to the Persian Gulf ports in Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia`s Persian Gulf coast, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE and Oman by US$200 per TEU from November 1.

Also, the world`s fourth largest carrier will adjust the fuel surcharges for Far East-Middle East trade from November 1.


For shipments between the Far East (except Japan) and the Persian Gulf and Indian subcontinent ports, $454 per TEU and $908 per FEU.


For Japan-Persian Gulf and Indian subcontinent trades, $351 per TEU and $702 per FEU.


For routes from the Far East (except Japan) to the Red Sea ports, $608 per TEU and $1,216 per FEU.


For Japan-Red Sea services, $665 per TEU and $1,330 per FEU.
