China first half port growth up 13.2pc, but off 15pc-11pc quarter to quarter

STATISTICS from the China Ministry of Transportation shows first half national port throughput increased 13.2 per cent year on year to 4.4 billion tonnes, which was 4.4 per cent slower growth than in the same period last year.

Throughput in the first quarter increased 15.4 per cent and 11.2 per cent in the second quarter, showing a trend of slowing growth, said Xinhua.
