Zim to hike Asia-east coast South America rate US$600 from August

ISRAEL`s Zim has announced it will raise rates $600 per TEU on the Asia-east coast South America trade lanes from August 1.

Saying rate levels were "unsustainable" today, the Israeli flag carrier is one of five carriers on the ASE service between the Far East and the east coast of South America, according to ComPair Data. Other members include Hanjin Shipping, Wan Hai, Hapag-Lloyd and CCNI.
