Grand Alliance, Zim, HMM offer all-water ECUS string from May 12

THE Grand Alliance joined by Zim and Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) are offering the transpacific all-water service called the South China East Coast Express 2 (SCE2) from May 12 between the Far East and the US east coast.

The service is offered in conjunction with revisions to the existing South China East Coast Express (SCE), providing a more-comprehensive service network, said the statement from participating shipping lines.


The new SCE2 will cover Busan, central China and south China, offering a service to ports along the southeast coast of the United States, complementing SCE service which will be enhanced with direct westbound linkage for Miami, while Kingston will be covered by the SCE2.


The SCE service rotation from May 13 will be Kaohsiung, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong, Panama Canal, New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Miami, Panama Canal and back to Kaohsiung.


The SCE2 rotation from May 12 will be Busan, Shanghai-Yangshan, Xiamen, Shenzhen Da Chan Bay, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Yantian, Panama Canal, Manzanillo (Panama), Kingston, Savannah, Charleston, Kingston, Manzanillo (Panama), Panama Canal and back to Busan.


Participating lines include Grand Alliance members Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and OOCL along with partners Zim and HMM.
