MEMBER lines of the Grand Alliance, Hapag-Lloyd, NYK, OOCL, have announced increased frequencies to transpacific US west coast services with the re-launch of the Japan China Express (JCX) and the restructuring of the Central China Express (CCX), South China Sea Express (SCX) and the Super Shuttle Express (SSX).
From May 15, the JCX will cover Japanese ports from Qingdao, now served by the SCX service. Qingdao is already served by CCX. To this, a new Kwangyang eastbound call will be added.
"The enhancement will improve the CCX schedule by concentrating coverage to central China and Busan, while the SCX will provide a competitive transit from Vietnam`s Cai Mep deepwater port to Los Angeles. The SSX will offer a shuttle express to the market from south China and Hong Kong together with direct coverage in Fuzhou," said a Grand Alliance statement.
For the JCX service, from May 15, the rotation will be Qingdao, Kwangyang, Kobe, Nagoya, Tokyo, Sendai, Los Angeles, Oakland, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe and back to Qingdao.
CCX`s rotation from May 19 will be Ningbo, Shanghai-Waigaoqiao, Shanghai-Yangshan, Busan, Los Angeles, Oakland, Busan and back to Ningbo.
SCX`s rotation from May 8 will be Laem Chabang, Singapore, Cai Mep, Kaohsiung, Los Angeles, Oakland, Kaohsiung, Shenzhen-Shekou and back to Laem Chabang.
SSX`s rotation from May 14 will be Shenzhen-Yantian, Shenzhen-Shekou, Hong Kong, Long Beach, Kaohsiung, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Hong Kong and back to Shenzhen-Yantian
