Maersk launches Mashariki Express from south China to east Africa

MAERSK has announced its new Mashariki Express service, offering direct sailings from south China`s Pearl River terminals of Nansha and Yantian to east Africa`s Mombasa and Dar es Salaam.

Instead of transshipping from Malaysia`s Tanjung Pelepas, Maersk will now provide direct sailings to Africa from the Pearl River Delta, said a company statement.


The whole voyage takes 18 days, which is claimed to have the fastest transit time in the industry.
