Maersk hikes Asia to Latin America rate US$400 per TEU

MAERSK has announced a January 3 rate increase on all container cargo from Asia to Central America and the west coast of South America.

The increase will be US$400 per TEU and $800 per FEU for shipments from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam to Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Bolivia and Buenaventura and Colombia
