Maersk Line, the largest carrier of the world, has announced that it is applying slow steaming on its Far East-Mexico AC2 service.
Ships deployed on this service have been increased from seven to eight Maersk-owned vessels averaging 8,008 TEU after slowing down, reported American Shipper. Meanwhile, Maersk`s auxiliary AC3 peak loader service, calling at Qingdao, Gwangyang, Yokohama, Lazaro Cardenas, Balboa and back to Qingdao, is scheduled to end after December 8.
