Cosco will raise Asia to Europe bunker fee by US$580/TEU December 1

COSCO Container Lines will increase its Asia to Europe bunker charges and currency adjustment factor (CAF) in both directions effective December 1.

Shipments between Far East and Mediterranean (including Israel, Lebanon, Syria, and the Black Sea, West Africa and North Africa regions) the surcharge will be US$550 per FEU and $1,100 per FEU, reports American Shipper. Shipments between the Indian subcontinent region and northwest Europe/Mediterranean will be $350 per TEU and $700 per FEU.


The currency adjustment factor will increase to 12.62 per cent for shipments from Asia to Europe in both directions.
