China`s import-export value up 40pc to US$1.8 trillion in 8 months

THE value of China`s import and export totalled US$1,875.58 billion, up 40 per cent year on year from January to August, according to the Ministry of Commerce.

The export value rose 35.5 per cent to $989.74 billion and the import value 45.5 per cent to US$885.84 billion.


In August, the total value of China`s exports and imports reached $258.5 billion, up 34.7 per cent year on year. The export value was $139.3 billion, up 34.4 per cent year on year and the import value was $119.27 billion, up 35.2 per cent year on year.
