CWT Globelink expands its Asian presence into Indonesia

CWT Globelink Pte Ltd, an Asia-based NVOCC, expanded its presence in the region with the official launch of Globelink Indonesia in July 2010.

"Indonesia is a very important market that has been showing a lot of growth potential. It is therefore an important strategic decision for CWT Globelink to establish direct presence in Indonesia in order to ride the growth and to provide better and more comprehensive services to all our partners in the network," a statement from CWT Globelink said.


Globelink Indonesia will be led by Mr BJ Yap who has more than 20 years of experience in the NVOCC industry and is among the top market leaders in Indonesia.


"With BJ and his very capable team of experienced professionals driving the growth engine of Globelink Indonesia, I am confident that Globelink will be an established market leader in Indonesia, providing efficient, competitive and high quality services to our clients and our network partners," said Tan Choon Wei, executive chairman of CWT Globelink Group.


Globelink Indonesia has offices in Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang and Belawan, covering all the major ports and important markets of Indonesia. Globelink, Indonesia can also handle shipments to and from Bandung and Bali.


With the opening of Globelink Indonesia, the Globelink family now has a presence across 16 countries with a total of 85 offices.
