Evergreen`s blanket Europe-to-Asia hike of US$250 per box

TAIWAIN`s Evergreen Line is to increase rates on eastbound trades from Europe and Mediterranean to Far East (including Japan, Australia) Indian subcontinent, Middle East (Red Sea and Gulf) US$250 per TEU, FEU and 40-foot high cube from May 1.
The rate restoration applies to all cargo and follows last month`s increase. "To maintain reliable service, Evergreen Line has decided to implement the GRR [general rate increase] programme," said the notice to trade.
