MISC appoints Crescent as India agent, boosts halal service

MALAYSIA-based carrier MISC Berhard is to launch a joint venture with Crescent Shipping Agency (India) Ltd to provide shipping agency services at Mumbai and New Delhi under the company name of MISC Agencies India Pvt Ltd.
The third party agent Mumbai-based Crescent Shipping will cover services all locations in India.
The carrier recently launched its weekly East India Service (EIS) between east India and Myanmar with routes from Yangon, Chennai, Colombo, Chennai and back to Yangon. This adds to its weekly halal express service (HES) in Colombo, which covers the Far East, southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East trade lanes with 12 vessels.
