GAC names industry veterans as Thai Abu Dhabi chiefs

GLOBAL shipping and logistics services provider GAC latest management shuffle appoints industry veterans Mark Delaney and Ronnie Knowles as managing directors of its operations in Thailand and Abu Dhabi respectively.
Mark Delaney brings to the new role a strong background and broad expertise in sales, marine operations and customer service. With more than two decades of experience in the international shipping and logistics industry, he spent almost 17 years in the Middle East, holding various posts within the GAC Group, added the company statement.
Mr Delaney`s key responsibilities in his new role with GAC Thailand include: ensuring consistently high levels of service quality; identifying and nurturing existing and prospective client relationships; and reinforcing the GAC brand as the preferred shipping and logistics provider in the country.
Previous to his latest posting, Mark was focused on identifying new avenues for growth for National Shipping Gulf Agency Company (NSGAC) in Abu Dhabi, driving its activities in industrial project logistics, logistics and shipping service sectors.
He hands over the management of GAC Abu Dhabi to the company`s new managing director, Ronnie Knowles, who for the past three years has spearheaded the development of GAC Pakistan`s business and operational activities. A veteran with more than 30 years of operational and management experience in the supply chain, logistics and shipping industry, Mr Knowles` valuable expertise will help drive NSGAC`s further business growth in the region.
