DENMARK`s Maersk Line will charge US$250 per TEU more on its Asia to Middle East and West Africa services from December 15.
The carrier`s Far East-West Africa service will see a similar hike on the same day following a nod from the Asia West Africa Trade Agreement (AWATA) according to UK`s International Freighting Weekly.
AWATA comprises of Maersk Line, China Shipping Container Line, CMA CGM, Delmas, Gold Star Line, MOL, Pacific International Line and Safmarine.
